4th Annual Blueprint Conference for Middle and High School Girls
Each year the the Boston Area chapter of the National Association of Alumnae of Spelman College hosts a conference to create the space for open dialogue between Boston area girls and women of color. As a day-long conference, girls are given the opportunity to connect with each other and learn about goal setting, self-esteem, and sisterhood. As the chapter gets ready to plan its 4th annual conference we hope to expand the number of girls we are able to reach and extend the conference to a year long cause.
You have a chance to help with a small donation to the chapter. Every donor will be entered in a drawing to receive two tickets to The Dimock Center's 2009 "Steppin' Out" Gala, featuring Brian McKnight.
Steppin Out For the Dimock Center will be held on November 7th at 8:00pm in The Westin Boston Waterfront. In its 22nd year, Steppin' Out has become a highlight on the City of Boston's social calendar. Conceived as an homage to the city's great tradition of Jazz music and the neighborhood clubs that were its birthplace, Steppin' Out has grown into one of the region's largest non-profit music-fests. This year's event will feature as many as 20 different artists throughout eight themed club environments and will highlight amazing talents of local artists and national headliners.
